Huawei launched the upper mid-range phone, NOVA 5 T with flagship Kirin 980 (7 nm) chips. t's been launched for some
$400, Indian Price may be Rs 27,200 and the specifications look good on paper but does the performance follow the same. Let's find out in this full review of the Huawei Nova 5t .
Huawei Nova 5t Performance
Huawei Nova 5t comes with HiSilicon Kirin 980 (7 nm), needless to say, this is a very good chipset but it's 2019
and Huawei does get a fair share of competition for similar prices.
Snapdragon 855 does prove its edge over the Kirin 980, but it can handle everything you throw at it however the
Snapdragon 855 just does the gaming part a little better for instance while you
play Pub G, you have the option for going to extreme settings with the Xiaomi Redmi K 20 Pro
whereas the Nova 5t lacks that. however, the Nova 5t offers games run smoothly in the Nova 5t, optimizes your device's settings to deliver maximum performance
meaning the gameplay will be a little smoother and the background processes are not
limited the downside.
You will experience some battery drainage
and also some heating apart from that normal day to day performance is smooth
and multitasking has never been a problem thanks to the 8gb of RAM, you get 128
GB storage but no microSD expansion. Nova 5t runs on EMUI 9.1 based on Android 9 Pie, because of the
latest mid-CBS came with Android 10 chances are that Nova 5t will receive it
too.
The best part of the EMUI 9 is that the pre-installed apps on your phone, you can uninstall probably 90% of them. The good thing about EMUI is that
it's not heavy like Mi UI so transitions around the phone is smooth. The phone's
UI also does limit background processes properly so you won't experience lag while opening an app or switching between them.

The blue looks very shiny thanks to the glass back, the purple variant may be enough reason to buy it.

Top left of the phone has a triple camera setup with an LED flash right below it down below you see a USB C port and a single firing speaker the phone does not miss out on an IR blaster which is good to know but sadly you don't have a headphone jack, you get headphones inside the box which have type C outlet. The signal firing bottom speaker just average to my liking so summing up I would say that the design aspect has been very well covered by probably except for the absence of the headphone jack, the phone is light yet feels the premium on the hands and you are going to love this design.
The Nova 5t is slightly less bright just slightly, about it there is a tiny LED notification light in the speaker grills up top which is always a welcome addition.
In Nova 5t we get a primary 48-megapixel sensor 16 megapixels the ultra-wide-angle lens then a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro
lens the extra macro lens is well a lot of chemicals. The images are void
of details, it's only that the lens lets you get really close to the subjects
otherwise, it's hardly any good for portraits. The Nova 5t uses the primary
camera and when put in comparison with the key 20 pros portraits from the
telephoto lens subject does not seem to be distinguished well but you can click
portraits from the 2 times zoom option as well if you wish to go closer to the
subjects side-by-side key 20 pros for traits look better in terms of color and
background blur if you are not satisfied with the portrait mode there's also
this aperture mode which is basically a portrait mode that lets you change the
amount of blur and focus on subjects before and after taking portraits which is
nice to have now normal imagers are pleasing to look at previously photos from
Huawei phones look heavy on contrast but this time the colors look almost
natural.
The Nova 5 T's for selfies, we have a 32 megapixels snapper and this is the aspect about the cameras, the selfies are actually going to very good, the skin looks natural portrait selfies to look nice and pleasing.
Nova 5t videos are very stable and have good quality in them as well though you 30 FPS option does well to it stabilized and has good colors you can even switch from normal to wide-angle to 2 times zoom option in the same video. The camera wise you could say that the Nova fight these cameras are more or less similar to the key to any pro.
Power charging is done very fast to the phone takes 30 minutes to charge 50%, all thanks to 22.5W.
So the conclusion is that you gonna like the Nova 5t, the design is good the cameras are good and the phone is well very fast. So all the shortcomings I would still recommend the Nova 5 t for some $ 400.

Nova 5t the display looks clean with minimum bezels the punch hole is not obtrusive at all so viewing content in it is a pleasure the display actually looks quite good. It has good viewing angles sufficient brightness and outdoor conditions and nice color and contrast levels for those who want to get more battery life you even have an option to downscale the display resolution to 720p.
